Abstract

June 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in West Sumatra Province amounted to 4.04 percent. The highest inflation occurred in West Pasaman Regency at 5.71 percent.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 9.08 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.56 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.06 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.46 percent; health group by 1.16 percent; transportation group by 1.92 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by -0.09 percent, recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.77 percent; education group by 1.83 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 1.74 percent; and personal care and other services group by 5.27 percent.
