Abstract

West Sumatra's NTP in August 2023 amounted to 108.96 or increased by 0.95 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to an increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) of 1.02 percent which was greater than the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) of 0.08 percent.

West Sumatra Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2023 amounted to 108.02 or increased 0.98 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
In August 2023 the NTP for each subsector was recorded at 97.11 for the food crop subsector (NTPP), 106.81 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 124.35 for the smallholder plantation crop subsector (NTPR), 113.57 for the livestock subsector (NTPT), and 100.00 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely the capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP of 104.40 and 96.66 respectively.
