Abstract

    The value of exports originating from West Sumatra in August 2024 amounted to US$240.93 million, an increase of 64.40 percent compared to July 2024 exports. 
  • The most exported categories of goods in August 2024 were animal/vegetable fats & oils (HS 15) amounting to US$202.75 million, followed by vegetable materials (HS 14) amounting to US$8.85 million, and various chemical products (HS 38) amounting to US$8.09 million. 
  • The import value of West Sumatra in August 2024 amounted to US$43.57 million, a decrease of 7.60 percent compared to July 2024 imports. 
  • The largest group of imported goods in August 2024 was mineral fuel (HS 27) amounting to US$23.57 million.
