Abstract

BRS Development of West Sumatra Tourism Statistics is a collection of data and information from various activities in the tourism sector which includes the number of foreign tourists visiting West Sumatra, Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels and non-starred hotels, Average Length of Stay (RLMT) of Foreign and Indonesian Guests in starred hotels in West Sumatra. The number of foreign tourists is data on foreign tourists entering Indonesia through the immigration door at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM). 
TPK is the ratio between the number of room nights used and the number of room nights available (in percent). It shows whether an accommodation is in demand by visitors or not. Average Length of Stay of Foreign and Indonesian Guests is used to determine how long a guest stays in an accommodation at a certain time. 
  • In December 2024 foreign tourist visits to West Sumatra through the Minangkabau International Airport entrance were 7,550 visits, an increase of 24.98 percent compared to the previous month. The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in West Sumatra in December 2024 was 51.96 percent, an increase of 2.46 points compared to the previous month's TPK. The TPK of non-starred hotels in West Sumatra in December 2024 was 23.37 percent, an increase of 4.82 points compared to the previous month's TPK. The average length of stay of guests in hote
