Abstract

The number of labor force in West Sumatra Province based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 3.10 million people, an increase of 78.60 thousand people compared to August 2023.

The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) of West Sumatra Province in August 2024 was 70.28 percent, an increase of 0.67 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The working population in West Sumatra Province was 2.92 million people, an increase of 79.83 thousand people compared to August 2023 (2.84 million people).

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of West Sumatra Province in August 2024 was 5.75 percent, a decrease of 0.19 percentage points compared to August 2023.
