May 27, 2025 | BPS Activities

The training of prospective officers for the Village Development Data Compilation 2025 (PODES 2025) of BPS Lima Puluh Kota Regency was carried out offline. Field officer training is a stage in the business process of organizing statistical activities. Officer training aims to prepare reliable officers in conducting data collection according to established procedures and concepts and definitions so that accurate survey data can be obtained.

This training was conducted for 2 days, namely on May 27 to 28, 2025. The number of training participants was 19 officers, 13 PCLs, 5 PMLs, and 1 Regional Instructor. The regional instructor is Renny Ankgraini. The training was opened directly by Mr. Yudi Yos Elvin as the Head of BPS Lima Puluh Kota Regency. In his remarks he said that Podes is the only complete regional data collection conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data from the Village Potential (Podes) data collection is able to describe the potential of an area at the village, sub-district and district / city levels throughout Indonesia and this Podes data is used by many parties in the context of development planning including providing data for the preparation of the Village Geographical Difficulty Index as one of the village fund allocators.

The government in planning and evaluating regional/regional development requires the availability of statistical data and information at the level of the local government area.
